Piedmont Triad Ambulance

I was enlisted today to photograph a new Ambulance for Piedmont Triad Ambulance where my wife Cindy is a paramedic. I am truly proud of Cindy and the great people she works with. On a regular basis I get the honor of working with paramedics, doctors, nurses, fireman, and police in their weddings or with their children. I don’t have the words to express the gratitude I feel to these fine people who perform an extremely difficult job that are not paid nearly what they are worth.

I don’t tell my wife enough that she is my HERO!

New Family Member

We welcomed to the world Shepard Harrison Reed, Wed. afternoon, 8 lbs. 5 ounces of pure joy. Big brother Spencer is about as happy as my wife and I. By sheer accident Shepard and Spencer share the same birthday, March 25, exactly 5 years apart. Baby and Momma are doing just fine, we greatly appreciate all the caring words and gifts we have received over the past couple of days, thank you.

Watching my children being born reminds me that God performs miracles on a daily basis. That moment when a baby first breathes air is about as close to heaven on earth as you can get. The hand of God at work.

3 weeks (or less) to go!

With less than 3 weeks to go before our new little one gets here, I was cutting this session with my family a little close, but finally got some good weather. I had a fun evening with what I consider my best friends and to finish off the day we all went for pancakes...life is good!

Stephanie & Enrique

I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie and Enrique this past weekend and despite being a little on the cold side, Stephanie hung right with me the whole afternoon. I believe we came out with great images of the day.

Sweet Little Makenzie

I absolutely love babies! It was a real treat getting to photograph 2 1/2 week old Makenzie along with her proud parents. I greatly appreciate the opportunity.

This is an example of why my clients contact me as in I can come to your home when your baby is too small and delicate to take out and about, as these images of Makenzie were taken on her changing table.

David McClintock

Let me introduce you to David McClintock, a prolific christian pianist that has more high profile accolades than I have room to list here. I have worked with David many times in the past with this session part of preparation for an upcoming appearance in Nashville. Take a moment to visit David's website www.davidmcclintock.com to listen to his music, get information on upcoming shows, or to purchase albums.

Snow Day

I was dragged by my 4 year old Spencer out into the frozen wasteland bright and early this morning to be pelted with snowballs. Needless to say, I had a great time! I hope your snow day was as fun as mine.

Julie & Brett

My last wedding for 2008, it has been a busy year to say the least and 2009 is shaping up to be even better. For the upcoming year I have added newer book cover options and high end canvas wall art prints, 2009 is going to be a great year.

I could not think of a better way to close out the year than Julie & Brett's wedding, which Julie did a fabulous job of planning. Here are few images from their day.

Cyndy & Matt

Wonderful wedding of Matt and Cyndy this past Saturday in Greensboro. Cyndy and Matt are two of the sweetest, down to earth people I have met, they were so easy to work with. Without a doubt one of my best weddings of the year.

Mentor

I recently photographed my father in law Mr. Charles Gurkin at the request of my mother in law Becky, an extraordinary woman I will tell you about sometime. This particular image requires a little history. Charlie is and has been many things in his life, a vietnam veteran, police officer, salesman, poet, novelist, inventor, husband, father, photographer for 35 years, and a friend. Charlie helped start me on this journery of exploration in photography and life for which I am ever grateful.

Now retired, Charlie spends his days inventing new bicycle configurations which he regulary rides through town. This image for Becky is a combination of two things she loves, Charlie and her house.

I could write a book on Charlie and the lives he has lived, but I will end here saying that Charlie has one thing for sure, my respect. I decided not to long ago I would tell Charlie how I felt about him and how much he has enriched my life, instead of poetic words I came up with one sentence. "Charlie, I would help you hide the body".

Leslie & Robert Nov 9.

I spent a great evening with Leslie, Robert and their sweet little Alex. Most of their wedding was a night time wedding which always affords some creative opportunities. I was a little disappointed to not see any cheeseburgers at the wedding............Robert.

Karen & Brandon's Wedding

Wow, what a wedding! I have so many great images it was almost impossible to pick a few for my blog. Karen gave me free reign to do what I wanted and I took full advantage. All I can say about Karen is look at her, she is stunning. Karen is owner operator of Vision's Catering, who also catered and decorated the event which was just amazing.

Janet & Jim's Biltmore Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing Janet and Jim's wedding in Asheville. Janet is absolutely the best, I could have not asked for more. Janet planned an incredible event with grace and composure. People like Janet and Jim are why I love what I do.
